Dr. Nusret Çetin
Managing Partner
Nusret is the managing partner and head of the Banking & Finance and Capital Markets practice at LBF Partners. He has a substantial reputation and track record as financial lawyer with experience over 20 years.
Drawing upon his in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, he advises a variety of financial institutions and listed companies on a wide range of regulatory matters. Throughout his career, Nusret has collaborated closely with a diverse clientele of listed companies and financial institutions, providing strategic legal counsel that addresses their specific needs in transactions. He particularly has an in-depth knowledge of working with regulators, having previously been a senior lawyer in the Capital Markets Authority of Turkiye. Nusret diligently served as both a legal counsel and senior legal counsel at Capital Markets Authority of Turkiye for over twelve years.
Nusret actively engages in theoretical and academic pursuits. He contributes extensively to local and international journals, authoring numerous articles on banking and securities law. Notably, he authored a comprehensive book on the new Capital Market Act No. 6362 in July 2014, and his work has been featured in esteemed law journals.
Nusret’s commitment to knowledge dissemination is further exemplified by his roles as a university lecturer, where he imparts insights on banking law, securities law, and financial market regulations. He is a frequent speaker at both local and international conferences, contributing his expertise to advance discussions in the legal and financial sectors.
